The Institute
Institute of Food and Resource Economics (FOI) was established January 1, 2004 as an independent institute at LIFE - Faculty of Life Sciences, according to clause 31 of the Danish University Act.
The Institute was established in a merger between the former sector research institute, Danish Institute of Food Economics, under the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries and relevant units at the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University, i.e. Unit of Economics, Unit of Learning and Interdisciplinary Methods and Unit of Bioethics and Risk Assessment.
