Dealing with Corporate Social Responsibility in the cocoa bean supply chain

Jesper Møller, CEO, Toms Group

will explain how Toms addresses CSR with a particular focus on the cocoa bean supply chain. Toms Group, a participant in the United Nations’ Global Compact, is Denmark’s largest producer of chocolate and other candy. Toms supplies ingredients from around the world, including cocoa beans from Western Africa. Cocoa bean sourcing involves a number of CSR challenges. Toms has developed a strategy to address some of these, including child labour. Toms’ CSR work also involves environmental and occupational health and safety issues. Jesper Møller’s presentation will be followed by a discussion.
